It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Trinity Prep Lions had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They blew past the Firebirds 38-17. The win was a breath of fresh air for Trinity Prep as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.
Trinity Prep got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Meghan Cochran out in front who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Zamor, who scored six points.
Trinity Prep's victory bumped their record up to 3-8. As for Academe of the Oaks, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Trinity Prep will square off against Horizon Christian Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Trinity Prep has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Academe of the Oaks does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
