Bonneville is 9-1 against Hillcrest since April of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Bees will host the Knights at 4:00 p.m. Bonneville is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.6 runs per game this season.
Hillcrest will be up against a hot Bonneville squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. The Bees came out on top against Idaho Falls by a score of 13-8 on Wednesday. That's two games straight that the Bees have won by exactly five runs.
Jackson Ropp made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and seven unearned) runs off six hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Taye Lords, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brock Bowman, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double.
Bonneville hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in nine consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Hillcrest faced Blackfoot in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Knights had just enough and edged out the Broncos 2-1. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Cole Croft was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
Hillcrest's win bumped their record up to 17-6-2. As for Bonneville, their victory bumped their record up to 19-4.
Friday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Bonneville hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .321. However, it's not like Hillcrest struggles in that department as they've averaged .352. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Bonneville was able to grind out a solid win over Hillcrest when the teams last played on Saturday, winning 6-1. Will the Bees repeat their success, or do the Knights have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
