Softball Recap: Gloucester County Tech Wins Going Away Against Highland Regional

After only one run in their last game, Gloucester County Tech made sure to put some runs up on the board against Highland Regional on Wednesday. Gloucester County Tech put the hurt on Highland Regional with a sharp 15-0 victory. That looming 15-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Gloucester County Tech yet this season.

Brooke Hamaty and Cameryn Hilliard did most of the damage at the plate: Hamaty went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, two triples, and two stolen bases, while Hilliard went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. Those four runs gave Hamaty a new career-high. Isabella Curcio also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Gloucester County Tech's win bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Highland Regional, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Gloucester County Tech wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 9-6 victory against Shawnee on the 1st. As for Highland Regional, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-8 loss against Haddonfield on the 1st.
