Godley is 9-1 against Venus since January of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Godley Wildcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Venus Bulldogs at 5:45 p.m. Godley knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four games -- so hopefully Venus likes a good challenge.
Godley scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Ferris, posting a 75-33 victory at home. Godley has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 20 points or more this season.
Meanwhile, Venus was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 42-38 to Hillsboro. Venus has not had much luck with Hillsboro recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Godley has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season. As for Venus, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost 12 of their last 13 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-18 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Godley against Venus in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 as the squad secured a 65-20 win. Will Godley repeat their success, or does Venus have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
