The Page Sand Devils had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against Estrella Foothills on Friday as Page made off with a 59-39 victory. For Page, this counts as revenge for the 56-46 loss Estrella Foothills walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2016.
Page was led to victory by Joseph Benally and Tyree Stingley. Benally scored 19 points along with 8 assists and 3 steals, while Stingley dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which Stingley has scored at least 25% of Page's points. Bryce Williams was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Page pushed their record up to 3-3 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.7 points per game. As for Estrella Foothills, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Page will take on Pinon at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Estrella Foothills, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Montezuma-Cortez at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
