The Eastern Tech Mavericks posted their biggest win yet this season on Friday. They breezed by Sparrows Point on the road to the tune of 74-29. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Eastern Tech.
Eastern Tech's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Matthew Foley led the charge by scoring 20 points along with three steals. Foley has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Jericho Wondeye was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with five steals and three blocks.
Eastern Tech is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for Sparrows Point, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.
Eastern Tech will be playing in front of their home fans against Pikesville at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Pikesville is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. Sparrows Point will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Catonsville on January 24th.
