Last Friday, Roanoke Catholic beat Hargrave Military Academy 28-20. The victory was just what Roanoke Catholic needed coming off of a 56-6 defeat in their prior contest.
Meanwhile, Norfolk Christian fell victim to Nansemond-Suffolk Academy's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were beaten by the Saints 44-0. Norfolk Christian has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Roanoke Catholic's win bumped their record up to 4-4. As for Norfolk Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.
Everything came up roses for Roanoke Catholic against Norfolk Christian in their previous matchup back in September of 2019 as the team secured a 44-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Roanoke Catholic since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
