While Lincoln might've come up empty on Wednesday, Billy Bass wasn't going down without a fight. Bass wasn't messing around, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. The pitching appearance was his fourth straight with two or fewer hits.

Even though Bass couldn't lead Lincoln over Colfax, he won't have to wait long to try again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Fighting Zebras are 9-1 against the Falcons going back to April of 2016, a lead they'll look to extend.
