For Williams Field, this counts as revenge for the 47-44 loss Campo Verde walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2023.
Williams Field had a senior duo take command as Savanah Horotn scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and Latoya Brooks scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Horotn's trending in the right direction, as she's improved his point production for three games straight.
Despite the loss, Campo Verde still got an impressive performance from Kelsey Watts, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. That was a full 40.5% of Campo Verde's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Bailey Barnes, who scored nine points.
Williams Field is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Campo Verde, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 13-6.
