The Brook Hill Guard stacked a 16th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They blew past Shelton 69-38 on the road. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 39-16.
Brook Hill's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brenna Hill, who scored 20 points along with five steals. Hill has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. Remy Tonroy was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with three steals.
Brook Hill has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 21-8 record this season. As for Shelton, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brook Hill will challenge Prince of Peace at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Prince of Peace will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1082nd, while Brook Hill is ranked 539th). As for Shelton, they will head out on the road to square off against McKinney Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
