Harmony Science Academy had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They secured a 52-48 W over Austin on Tuesday. For Harmony Science Academy, this counts as revenge for the 57-56 defeat Austin walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.
It was another big night for Carlos Ceballos, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Harmony Science Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gael Castillo, who scored 12 points.
Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Santana Araujo-garcia, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Anakin Torres, who scored 15 points along with five assists.
Even though they lost, Austin smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Harmony Science Academy only pulled down three offensive rebounds.
Harmony Science Academy's victory bumped their record up to 11-14. As for Austin, their loss dropped their record down to 8-19.
Harmony Science Academy has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Irvin at 6:00 p.m. on February 9th. Harmony Science Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Austin, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bowie at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Bowie will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something Austin surely won't give up without a fight.
