Kent Denver extended the longest winning streak in 2A Colorado this week by beating Sheridan, 48-0. The win marks seventh in a row for the the Sun Devils.
Denver West was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from sixth to fourth in the league. The Cowboys defeated Manual 42-0 earlier in the week.
Kent Denver's dynamic duo of Joey Matarazzo and Jaden Franklin proved tough for the Rams to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Matarazzo threw for 109 yards and one touchdown and Franklin had 59 yards receiving. Charlie Lippitt helped Kent Denver's passing attack out by catching two balls for 40 yards.
Brandon Martinez was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 190 yards on 12 carries as Denver West bested Sheridan. Teammate Brandon Arnold added to the ground attack by rushing for 72 yards.
Bennett's Joshua Miller and Tanner Wineland have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading 2A Colorado in both passing and receiving yards. Miller has thrown for 591 yards this season, while Wineland has six catches for 240 yards. The Sun Devils' Franklin leads the league in rushing yards with 1239.
