Colton Lucero Turns in Season-Best Effort
Sadly, Colton Lucero posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Pagosa Springs over Bayfield on Thursday. Lucero rushed for 400 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 12.1 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. That high mark didn't come from nowhere: he has now punched in two or more in the last six games he's played dating back to last season.
For the year, Lucero has averaged 23.5 receiving yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had four rushing touchdowns. This year he is already up to 16.
