Calais kicked off their season on the road  on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost  3-0 to the George Stevens Academy Eagles. The Blue Devils haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
Calais' offense was headlined by  Ashaleigh Sulkowski and  Sadie McPhee, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from  Addison Ellsmore and her four assists.
 We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Calais will  face off against  rival Lee Academy  at 5:30  p.m.  on Monday. Meanwhile, George Stevens Academy is set to  square off against  their familiar foe Bucksport  at 5:30  p.m.  on Monday.
