The Academy Park Knights will be playing in front of their home fans against the Boyertown Bears at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Academy Park pushed their score all the way to 58 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were dealt a 88-58 defeat at the hands of Chichester. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game on Saturday (55), Academy Park still had to take the loss.
Meanwhile, Boyertown came up short against Pottsgrove on Thursday and fell 53-42.
Despite their defeat, Boyertown saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Jack Greaves, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks, was perhaps the best of all. Greaves hasn't dropped below two blocks for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Braedyn Johnson, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Academy Park's loss was their eighth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 5-8. As for Boyertown, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.
