South Lamar lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Pickens Academy, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's match. The Stallions put the hurt on the Pirates with a sharp 12-3 win on Friday. The Stallions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by nine runs or more this season.

South Lamar is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-10 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Pickens Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-11.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: South Lamar beat the Pirates by a score of 10-3 later that day.
