On Thursday, Bel Air suffered a rough 58-38 loss at the hands of Chapelgate Christian Academy. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Bel Air has scored all season.
Chapelgate Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Justin Davis led the charge by scoring 12 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Those 12 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Bishop, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds.
Bel Air's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Chapelgate Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 7-4.
Bel Air will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Patterson Mill on January 3, 2024. Patterson Mill will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line. As for Chapelgate Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against St. John's Catholic Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Maryland (St. John's Catholic Prep is ranked 142nd, while Chapelgate Christian Academy is ranked 162nd).
