Jack Martin and Eran Maxson were a major factor no matter where they played. On the mound, Martin pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Maxson struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits (and not a single walk). At bat, Martin scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Maxson got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Those three RBI gave Maxson a new career-high.
In other batting news, Jayce Moore was a standout: he scored four runs while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Gavin Moore, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
