After losing to Somerset Berkley Regional the last time they met, Greater New Bedford RVT decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Bears walked away with a 5-1 win over the Raiders on Thursday.
Dorian Fortes made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Fortes was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That RBI was his first of the season.
