Lausanne Collegiate came tearing into Saturday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30.6 points), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the PURE Academy Royals with a sharp 68-42 win. Given the Lynx's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 54th, while the Royals are ranked 290th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Patrick Thompson produced another solid effort going 8-for-15 to rack up 19 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Zuri McClure, who almost dropped a double-double with 11 points and nine boards.

Lausanne Collegiate's record is now 11-2. As for PURE Academy, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Coming up, Lausanne Collegiate won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Tyner Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday. As for PURE Academy, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Memphis University School at 7:30 p.m. on January 6, 2026.
