Wallace County extended the longest winning streak in Northwest Kansas (8 Man) this week by beating Golden Plains, 61-0. The victory was the seventh in a row for the Wildcats.
Wallace County took down the Bulldogs 61-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Kyle Gfeller threw for 109 yards and 2 touchdowns and ran for 14 yards in the win.
Kevin Ayers' team's dynamic duo of Gfeller and Callahan Grund proved tough for Golden Plains to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Cayden Daily helped Wallace County's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 43 yards.
Connor Katt was a key player and the best on defense this week as Hoxie beat Hill City. The 5-foot-9 junior pulled down 1 interception and grabbed 1 sack.
Dylan Tiemeyer was a passing and rushing force as Rawlins County beat Quinter. He completed 8 passes for 119 yards and 2 touchdowns and also ran for 158 yards. Tiemeyer's key target this week was Macrae Migchelbrink, who caught 3 passes for 64 yards.
Dighton's Tyler Lingg and Isaac Alinor have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-4 quarterback Lingg has thrown for 589 yards this season, while Alinor has 22 catches for 319 yards. The Indians' Katt leads the league in rushing yards with 917.
Hoxie's Katt is a mere 83 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season. Katt has rushed for 917 yards on 103 carries so far this year.
