Livermore is 9-1 against Dougherty Valley since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Cowboys will host the Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Livermore's favor as the squad sits on five straight wins at home while Dougherty Valley has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
Livermore's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Monte Vista with a sharp 7-0 win. The Cowboys not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 10th (when they won 10-0).

Kaci Norton tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out seven over 4.1 innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Laine Macosky, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that she has snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Kerigan Coates, who went 1-for-4 with one home run.
Livermore kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in five consecutive games.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Dougherty Valley challenged Carondelet on Thursday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 5-4.
Katie Osborn was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 6.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits. Osborn was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one run and one double.
In other batting news, Ava Millert made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Laura Osborn was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one run.
Livermore's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 14-8. As for Dougherty Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Livermore hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.8 home runs per game. However, it's not like Dougherty Valley struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.6 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Livermore beat Dougherty Valley 5-0 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Will the Cowboys repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
