Nordhoff hasn't had much luck against Grace recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Rangers will head out on the road to face off against the Lancers at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Nordhoff's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last six contests.
Nordhoff's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Santa Clara 63-0. That 63 point margin sets a new team best for the Rangers this season.

Nordhoff's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Desi Canfield, who picked up 39 receiving yards and a pair of scores, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground. Jaxson Kirk also helped with two TDs in total.
Nordhoff didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Josh Dominguez and Bret Winters. Nordhoff received some extra help from Pablo Ponce, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Grace against Carpinteria on Friday as the team secured a 52-20 win. The Lancers haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Grace's win came from a few key players Nordhoff will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was RIley Williams, who threw for 251 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 90 yards and one score on only six carries. His passing game has become a key predictor of Grace's success: the team is 3-1 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise. Another back making a difference was Jake Williams, who rushed for 167 yards and one TD while picking up 8.8 yards per carry.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Grace was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 280 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.
One reason for the win was Grace's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. In that department, TJ Moore was the leader with two. Moore is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least seven every time he's taken the field this season. Landon Cooper got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Grace now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Nordhoff, their record now sits at 6-1.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Nordhoff has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 208.3 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Grace struggles in that department as they've been averaging 172.4 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Nordhoff took a serious blow against Grace in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, falling 58-22. Thankfully for the Rangers, Ethan Lasecla (who rushed for 166 yards and three scores while picking up 10.4 yards per carry, and also threw for 124 yards and a pair of touchdowns) won't be suiting up this time.
