Orting was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of Franklin Pierce. One positive for Orting, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.
Kathryn Prest put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. What's more, she gave up only three hits, the fewest she's had since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that she brought in this season.
In other batting news, Norah Fenton made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in two of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one RBI.
