Fruitdale is 1-9 against Washington County since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Fruitdale Pirates are on the road again and play against the Washington County Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on December 14th. Fruitdale will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 417th, while Washington County is ranked 180th).
Last Tuesday, Fruitdale had to suffer through a rough 77-17 loss at the hands of Jackson.
Meanwhile, Washington County put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against Millry as Washington County made off with a 50-29 win. Washington County might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won three contests by 21 points or more this season.
Fruitdale bumped their record down to 0-6 with that defeat, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Washington County, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-0.
Fruitdale was dealt a bruising 70-31 loss at the hands of Washington County in their previous matchup back in November. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Fruitdale was down 34-13.
