Giles County (Pulaski, Tenn.) extended its winning streak to seven games with a 24-13 victory over
Fairview (Tenn.) on Saturday.
The score was knotted at seven heading into the half. The Bobcats took the lead for good on a touchdown run with 9:00 left in the third quarter.
Cobb Al stood out for Giles County in the win. The senior quarterback ran for one touchdown. He has now scored 12 touchdowns on the season.
GC had given up an average of 5.7 points prior to the contest.
Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 15-14 win for the Pulaski school.
The defeat comes as a step back for Fairview, which notched a 62-28 victory over Marshall County in its previous outing. The loss snapped the Yellowjackets' 3-game winning streak.
Giles County (7-0) will play a AA District 12 game against Summit next week, while Fairview (5-3) will take on Spring Hill also in a AA District 12 game.
