Lancaster waltzed into their contest on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They secured a 33-28 W over the Mathews Blue Devils. While the Red Devils didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-11), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Lancaster pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 21.0 points per game. As for Mathews, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lancaster won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Rappahannock at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lancaster's defense has only allowed 29 points per game this season, so Rappahannock's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Mathews, they and King & Queen Central will face off at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played.
