Elsinore scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They took down Esperanza 84-67. Given Elsinore's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 122nd, while Esperanza is ranked 715th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Mary Star of the Sea came tearing into Tuesday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18 points) and they left with even more momentum. They skirted past Mission Viejo 56-54.
Elsinore is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season. As for Mary Star of the Sea, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.
