The Lanett Panthers lost against the Valley Rams back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Lanett took a serious blow against the Rams, falling 96-46. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Lanett in their matchups with the Rams: they've now lost four in a row.
Cam?ron Dooley was his usual excellent self, scoring 40 points along with seven rebounds and five steals for Valley. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Dooley has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Brandon Thomas, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds.
Lanett has not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season. As for Valley, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 17-1.
Lanett does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Valley will head out on the road to face off against the Cavaliers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Callaway will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 258th in Georgia, while the Rams are ranked 25th in Alabama).
