They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 73-37 victory over Faith Christian. Given Kingwood Christian Life Center Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 656th, while Faith Christian is ranked 1444th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Jaimon Joseph, who scored 30 points along with eight steals and three blocks. It was the first time this season that he posted two or more blocks. Another player making a difference was Jayden Blake-Benard, who scored 14 points along with five steals and four blocks.
Despite the loss, Faith Christian saw an underclassman step up: Bryan Galvan scored 25 points. Galvan continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.
Kingwood Christian Life Center Academy's win bumped their record up to 17-2. As for Faith Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8.
Kingwood Christian Life Center Academy will stay at home for another game and welcome Varsity Opponent at 7:00 p.m. on February 15th. As for Faith Christian, they will head out on the road to challenge Still Creek Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
