Hancock has gone a perfect 3-0 against Martinsburg recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Panthers are taking a road trip to face off against the Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. Hancock is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.

Last Tuesday, Hancock beat Forbes Road 10-5.

Brooklyn McCusker made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over 4.2 innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one RBI.

In other batting news, Madison Booth was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one run. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Keefer, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Hancock always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .528. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Forbes Road only posted an OBP of .375.

Meanwhile, Martinsburg fell victim to Washington and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 17-0 to the Patriots. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Bulldogs' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Martinsburg dropped their record down to 3-13 with the loss, which was their eighth straight at home. As for Hancock, their victory ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-5.

Hancock took their win against Martinsburg in their previous meeting back in April of 2019 by a conclusive 12-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
