Braiton Applegate Tops All Others This Week
Starting off the list is Perkins-Tryon's Braiton Applegate, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Applegate rushed for 18 yards and a touchdown, and also caught a touchdown.
The win (which was Perkins-Tryon's third in a row) raised their record to 5-2. Applegate and Perkins-Tryon will be playing in front of their home fans against Lone Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Max Moore Delivers Best Effort of Season
Sadly, Max Moore posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Mannford over Lone Grove on Thursday. Moore rushed for 60 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 222 yards and a touchdown. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in October of 2023.
Mannford is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6. Moore and Mannford will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Seminole at 7:00 p.m. on November 1st.

Cash Matlack Has Career Rushing Day
Sulphur was led to victory by Cash Matlack, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Thursday. Matlack rushed for 137 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an impressive 65 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
The victory was the sixth in a row for Sulphur, bringing their record for this year to 6-1. Matlack and Sulphur will take on Seminole at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Perkins-Tryon Gets a Boost from Mclemore in 42-30 Victory
Another Perkins-Tryon player making an appearance on this list is Raiden Mclemore. He rushed for 179 yards and two touchdowns. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 55 yards.
For the year, Mclemore has run in 8 touchdowns while averaging 84.8 rushing yards per game.

Shaun Hill Makes Top Five
Rounding off our Top Five is Shaun Hill of McLoud. Hill picked up 79 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 78 yards. He showed off some serious burst, cutting upfield on a catch for 63 yards.
McLoud dropped their record down to 2-5 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. Hill and McLoud will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lone Grove at 7:00 p.m. on November 1st.
