The Thornton Trojans''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They fell just short of Aurora Central by a score of 15-12. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Thornton in their matchups with Aurora Central: they've now lost four in a row.
Defeat or not, Thornton got some senior leadership from David Williams who rushed for 160 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.4 yards per carry and Andrew Gomez who rushed for 144 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.6 yards per carry.
Thornton's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Aurora Central, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-7.
Thornton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Aurora Central also has no future games currently scheduled.
