Salem won the last time they faced Bourbon and things went their way on Wednesday too. Salem walked away with a 6-3 victory over Bourbon. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.
Alaina Norris made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out 15 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. Norris was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.
In other batting news, Salem let Bailey Mahurin and Alexis White run wild. Mahurin went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one double, while White scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Those two runs gave White a new career-high. Salem's record now sits at 2-0. As for Bourbon, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.
