If The Camden County Bruins were feeling good off their 35-0 takedown of the Manteo Redskins last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Camden County was outmatched by Princeton on the road and fell 63-20. Camden County was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-14.
Camden County's lost on Friday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Diego Carrion, who picked up 73 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Princeton got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Austin Lewallen out in front who rushed for 273 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 16.1 yards per carry. Another player making a difference was Ethan Teasley, who rushed for 200 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries.
Camden County has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Princeton, their win was their fifth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 8-3.
Camden County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Princeton will look to defend their home field on Friday against Louisburg at 7:00 p.m. Louisburg will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
