It was a good run, but the Dunbar Wildcats unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell to Everman 50-44.
Everman was led to victory by Harli Clark and Melissa Gutierrez magdaleno. Clark dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds, while Gutierrez magdaleno dropped a double-double on 13 points and 18 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylee Hicks, who scored 4 points along with 5 rebounds.
Dunbar's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Everman, they have yet to lose a matchup at home this season, leaving them with a 5-6 record.
Dunbar will take on Godley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Godley presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Dunbar in Texas (Godley is ranked 114th, while Dunbar is ranked 512th). As for Everman, they will head out on the road to face off against Granbury at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Granbury is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
