After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Westside, the Easley Green Wave were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They came out on top against Greenville by a score of 39-26. That's another feather in the cap for Easley, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Easley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Olivia Gramblin, who scored 15 points along with two steals. Gramblin's trending in the right direction, as she's improved his point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Kimbel Leach, who scored two points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Greenville's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kayla Gaston, who scored 14 points. Chloe Briggs was another key contributor, scoring five points along with eight rebounds.
Easley's win bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Greenville, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Easley will take on Pickens at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Pickens will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive. As for Greenville, they will head out on the road to take on Westside at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Westside will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
