Softball Recap: Forestview Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Shelby, Forestview was happy to have turned things around on Friday. Everything went their way against the Huss Huskies as they made off with a 15-0 victory. The win was some much needed relief for the Jaguars as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Lillian Cozad was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Addley Phillips, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs.

Forestview's victory bumped their record up to 5-14. As for Huss, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Forestview will host Stuart W. Cramer at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Huss, they will be playing at home against Crest at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Huskies' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Chargers have averaged an impressive 10.4 runs per game this season.
