The Jefferson Dragons will take on the Oconee County Warriors at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. Jefferson is coming into the  contest hot, having won their last four games.
On Friday, Jefferson made easy work of Cherokee Bluff  and carried off  a  31-10 victory. Considering the Dragons have won five matchups by more than 20  points this season, Friday's  blowout was nothing new.

Jefferson's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Logan Edmunds, who picked up 88 receiving yards and one  score. Those  88  receiving yards gave  Edmunds a new career-high.
 Jefferson was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 265  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 178  rushing yards in four consecutive  games.
Meanwhile,  after a string of five wins, Oconee County's good fortune finally ran out  on Friday. They received a  blow  as they fell  35-21 to Monroe Area.
 Jefferson will need to focus on slowing down  Brody Hannah, one of several Oconee County players who made an impact when they last played. He threw for 236 yards and three  touchdowns.
 Oconee County's  loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 6-3. As for Jefferson, their victory bumped their record up to 8-1.
Friday's   contest might be decided on the ground. Jefferson has been unstoppable on the ground this season,  having  averaged 206.1  rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Oconee County struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 189  rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's   matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
