The Cresset Christian Academy Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They fell 65-53 to Lee Christian. Cresset Christian Academy has not had much luck with the Falcons recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mario Jarett, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Branson Green, who scored 19 points.
Cresset Christian Academy struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Lee Christian racked up 11 assists.
Leading Lee Christian to victory were Christian Wilson and Daniel Rumbold. Wilson scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and three steals, while Rumbold scored 17 points along with seven assists and three steals. Rumbold is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last 14 games he's played. Another player making a difference was William Feaster, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
Cresset Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Lee Christian, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-8.
Cresset Christian Academy will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Archers at 6:30 p.m. Bradford Academy is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Lee Christian, they will head out on the road to square off against the Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. North Hills Christian is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 71.5 points per game this season.
