Venice is a perfect 10-0 against Westchester since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Gondoliers will head out on the road to face off against the Comets at 3:00 p.m. Venice will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
Venice is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Palisades with a sharp 20-0 win on Monday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Khalia Rodriguez made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, she posted three strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April of 2025. She was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. That triple was her first of the season.
In other pitching news, Violet Ascencio looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Sandy Carrera, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one triple. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Naia Casillas, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run.
Venice hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in five consecutive matchups.
Los Angeles CES hit Westchester with a five-run fourth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Comets came up short against the Unicorns, falling 10-2. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Comets couldn't push the score so high this time.
Having lost for the first time this season, Westchester fell to 2-1. As for Venice, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-6.
Venice got the 'W' when the teams last played back in May of 2025 against Westchester by a conclusive 22-0 score. Will the Gondoliers repeat their success, or do the Comets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
