The Greenwood Woodmen will square off against the Shelbyville Golden Bears at 7:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Greenwood will be strutting in after a  victory while Shelbyville will be coming in after a  loss.
Greenwood took a loss when they played away from home  two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed  on Thursday. They walked away with  a   3-1  win over Southport.
 Greenwood walked away with the   victory (and looked especially good in the fourth set). The final score came out to 25-19, 27-25, 21-25,  25-10.

  Addie Curry and  Bella Davis were among the main playmakers for Greenwood as the former  had 21  digs and the latter  had 11  digs and four  aces. Those  four  aces gave  Davis a new career-high.
Meanwhile, Shelbyville was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight  defeat. They took  a  2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Perry Meridian.
 Shelbyville was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Perry Meridian work for it, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24,  25-15.
 Greenwood will have to contain  Addy Marshall as she made an impact in Shelbyville's last game. She  had 12  assists and ten  digs.
 Shelbyville's loss dropped their record down to 11-20. As for Greenwood, their win bumped their record up to 11-17.
 Greenwood came up short against Shelbyville in their previous meeting  back in September, falling  3-1. Can the Woodmen avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
