It was a good run, but Robbinsville unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They opened the new year with a less-than-successful 30-18 defeat to the Sterling Silver Knights. The match marked the Ravens' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Sterling can attribute much of their success to Madison Sims, who posted 11 points along with six boards and four steals. The dominant performance gave Sims a new career-high in points. Lexi Kuhn was another key player, putting up three points along with ten boards and three steals.

Robbinsville's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Sterling, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. It'll be Battle of the Birds when the Robbinsville Ravens challenge the J.P. Stevens Hawks at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Sterling, they will venture away from home to take on Collingswood at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
