After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mariner, the Fort Myers Green Wave were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Ida Baker 87-51 at home. That's another feather in the cap for Fort Myers, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Fort Myers can attribute much of their success to Marquielle Tory, who scored 24 points along with 3 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Therry Theresias, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 13 rebounds.
The victory got Fort Myers back to even at 1-1. As for Ida Baker, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Fort Myers will head out on the road to face off against Estero at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Estero is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. Ida Baker won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Naples at 7:30 p.m. on December 1st. Naples has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 212 points over their last three matchups.
