Jones had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They walked away with a 44-35 win over Mount St. Mary.
Meanwhile, McLoud unfortunately witnessed the end of their ten-game winning streak on Saturday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 62-61 to Holdenville. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Jones is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for McLoud, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-3.
