Mechanicsburg and Northeastern are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2019, but not for long. The Indians will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Jets at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Having struggled with three losses in a row, Mechanicsburg turned things around against Catholic Central on Tuesday. They blew past the Irish 3-0. The Indians not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since August 23rd (when they won 3-0).
The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-15, 25-16.
Mechanicsburg can attribute much of their success to Kenzie Stillings, who had 12 digs and one assist. Sydnee Hurst also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.
Mechanicsburg was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. They are 4-1 when they serve at least ten aces.
Meanwhile, Northeastern played in-conference for the first time on Tuesday and got just the result they were looking for. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over Greeneview. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Jets have posted against the Rams since September 17, 2019.
It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Northeastern got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-19, 14-25, 25-13, 15-25, 15-10.

Everything went Mechanicsburg's way against Northeastern in their previous matchup back in August, as Mechanicsburg made off with a 3-0 victory. Do the Indians have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Jets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
