Cumberland County has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Upperman Bees at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Cumberland County fought the good fight in their overtime game against the Warriors on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 53-52 to the Warriors.
Meanwhile, Upperman unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They took a 35-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of White County.
Cumberland County's loss dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Upperman, their loss ended a 15-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 22-4.
Cumberland County came up short against the Bees in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 40-30. Can Cumberland County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
