Baseball Recap: Perrysburg Snags Seventh Win in Last Eight Games

Perrysburg barely beat Napoleon the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Yellow Jackets put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 10-4 win on Friday. The Yellow Jackets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by six runs or more this season.

Aaron Banks tossed a big game, striking out nine batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, Perrysburg got a massive performance out of Lucas Graham, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI Graham has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Heitmeyer, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Perrysburg has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season. As for Napoleon, their loss dropped their record down to 12-5-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Perrysburg will welcome Anthony Wayne at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Napoleon, they will be playing at home against Wauseon at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
