Triad Math and Science Academy was dealt a 75-40 loss at the hands of Piedmont Classical. Triad Math and Science Academy has struggled against Piedmont Classical recently, as their contest on Friday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Piedmont Classical's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tj Bacote, who scored 12 points along with seven assists and four steals. Another player making a difference was Ja'el Lawson, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Triad Math and Science Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-17 record this season. As for Piedmont Classical, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 15-8.
Triad Math and Science Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Bethany at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bethany is coming into the matchup with ten straight wins on the road, so Triad Math and Science Academy is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. As for Piedmont Classical, they will challenge Bishop McGuinness at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Piedmont Classical is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
