The Ray Bearcats will take on the Anthem Prep Eagles at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Ray barely beat Globe the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bearcats blew past the Tigers 12-2 on Monday. The win was nothing new for the Bearcats as they're now sitting on six straight.
Seth Wade made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over 4.2 innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March of 2025.

In other batting news, Ray let Asher Warren and Jesse James run wild. Warren went 2-for-5 with three runs and three RBI, while James went 3-for-4 with two runs and one triple. Those three hits gave James a new career-high. Jaxon Cude was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Ray was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .357 or higher in six consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Anthem Prep never let their opponents score on Friday. Everything went their way against Lincoln Prep as they made off with a 9-0 victory.
Nathan Stilwell made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. Stilwell was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.
In other batting news, Jovan Durickovic was excellent, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one run and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Yong-Ran Haung, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one triple.
Anthem Prep's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Ray, their victory bumped their record up to 15-7.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Ray has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.7 hits per game. However, it's not like Anthem Prep struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.6 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Ray's way against Anthem Prep when the teams last played back in March of 2025, as Ray made off with an 18-4 win. Do the Bearcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
